Storytelling is a way for indigenous peoples to transmit knowledge. We live in a territory where stories are maps, and as humans in the present, reconnecting with the stories told to us is a way to nourish our roots while we grow here, for example, in the new territory.
The structure, like a ceremony, has an opening and a closing, honoring the way our gathering moves forces toward better understanding among beings. The stories and songs have the same purpose, intentionally linked.
