Adiós familia, amigas y amigos de Perú, nos volveremos a ver antes o después, «hasta que la vida nos vuelva a encontrar», que el amor siga. Que se reafirme en los sabores, los saberes y el mestizaje.
Les cuento que mientras estuve en Perú trabajé creativamente un proyecto creativo-musical que pronto estaré revelando. Eso es lo que hago y es mi pequeño aporte a este mosaico en el que co-creamos el mundo. Así que hola, hijito musical, que pronto verás la luz.
Hoy, día internacional de la mujer, deseo igualdad, justicia y paz para ver florecer en todo su potencial a todo ser. Es duro ver que esto no sucede en Perú. El año 2019 se registraron 165 feminicidios, en lo que va del año ya hay 30 más y en promedio cada dos horas violan a una mujer ahí. Es duro ver las cifras, es duro saber las historias, es duro ser sobreviviente y saber que el dolor no acaba con una. Es duro ver la falta de salud mental que lleva a algunas personas (el 95 % hombres y 5 % mujeres) a ejercer el poder de una manera tan brutal.
La esperanza de cambio es incrementar la conciencia, educar, amar mejor, dar atención psicológica, actualizar las leyes. Hablar, compartir, hasta hacer entender a más mentes, a más sistemas familiares y judiciales.
Me encantaría afirmar que solo en mi país pasan este tipo de tragedias, pero no es así. Pasa en todo el mundo. Lo veo, lo leo, lo vivo cuando escucho testimonios de mujeres (y hombres) de todo el mundo y de diferentes culturas. No puedo ser indiferente. Y por eso, es a las víctimas a las que también les invito a contar su historia, a empoderar sus entrañas para trascender lo vivido y sanar.
Muchos de mis cantos e historias las construyo para que sean como un bálsamo para las heridas. Heridas que son secretos y que a veces pesan mucho. Ahora es tiempo de develar los secretos.
Para todas las mujeres, niñas y niños; para todas las voces que fueron silenciadas.
Mientras pueda, continuaré cantando y honrando la vida.

Goodbye family and friends from Peru, we will see each other sooner or later, «until life finds us again». Love will remain reaffirms itself in flavours, ancestral knowledge and miscegenation.
While I was in Peru I worked on a creative-musical project that I will show soon. That is what I do and it is my small contribution to this mosaic in which we co-created the world. So hello, musical son, you will soon see the light.
Today is the International Women’s Day, and all that I want is equality, justice and peace to see every being flourish in all its potential. It is hard to see that this does not happen in Peru. In 2019, 165 femicides were registered, so far this year there are already 30 more and on average every two hours, there is a rape. It is hard to see the data, but is even harder to know the people who tell the stories; it is hard to be a survivor myself and to know that the pain does not end with me. It is hard to see the lack of mental health that leads some people (95% men and 5% women) to exercise power in such a brutal way.
The hope of change is to increase awareness, educate people, love better, give good public psychological attention, update the laws. Talk, share, to make more minds understand.
I would love to say that these kinds of tragedies happen only in my country, but it is not like that. It happens all over the world. I see it, I read it, I hear it from women (and men) from all over the world and from different cultures. I cannot be indifferent. That is why I also invite to the victims to tell your stories, you empower yourself to transcend what you have lived and heal, to cut the chains, and evolve.
Many of my songs and stories are built to be like a balm for the wounds of the soul. Wounds that are secret and sometimes weigh a lot.
Now is the time to reveal the secrets.
For all the women, and for all of their voices that were silent
While I can, I will continue singing and honoring life.
