In my life, I’ve done crazy things and met the craziest and idealistic people.
The most idealistic were those who promoted love. An example is this activist group that responds to the name of «Munay«, an activist university group, which in Quechua (a Peruvian native language) means «willpower» or «love with will», to do something because we love to do it. When I meet them, my surprise was that they were focused on caring for our planet. One of the projects was related to my natal city (Chachapoyas in Amazonas in Perú) to hopefully get more natural areas protected. Talking with these girls and boys, I realized they were in a thousand things; but they were also tired of the theory, so in addition to the classes they started doing things like water pumps so that reaches areas where it is scarce, urban planning projects to be able to use more and better the bicycle in Lima; short on conservation; talks about sustainability; meetings where we tried to be vegetarian; visits to small organic markets and then, the invitation to travel and try our luck in what we really like.
Many of the ones who were part of this group traveled far away from our homeland. We keep taking care of the planet from different perspectives and experiences. We still supporting each other by the urns and the most ardent curiosity to grow and transform.

Hice cosas muy locas y conocí a gente de la más locas e idealistas.
Entre lo más, estaban los que promovian el amor. Un ejemplo es este grupo activista que responde al nombre de «Munay», que en quechua quiere decir «voluntad» o «amor con voluntad», hacer algo porque se ama hacerlo. Para sorpresa mía estaban enfocados en cuidar a la tierra y tenían un proyecto en el que viajaban a mi ciudad (Chachapoyas en Amazonas) para ojalá, conseguir que más áreas sean protegidas. Conversando con estas chicas y chicos, me di cuenta que estaban en mil cosas; pero que además estaban cansados de la teoría, así que además de las clases se ponían a hacer cosas como bombas de agua para que ésta llegue a zonas donde escasea, proyectos de urbanismo para poder usar más y mejor la bicicleta en Lima; cortos sobre conservación; charlas sobre sostenibilidad; reuniones donde procurabamos ser vegetarianos; visitas a los mercados pequeños orgánicos y luego, la invitación a viajar y probar suerte en lo que de verdad te gusta. Muchos que estuvimos ahí, nos fuimos y bien lejos. Apoyándonos unos a otros por las urras y la más ardiente curiosidad de crecer y transformarnos.
